Refund Policy
This policy explains cancellation, return and refund rights where a qualifying consumer purchase is concluded directly with Leak Detector LTD. It also explains how those rights differ from purchases completed on an external seller's website.
Last updated: 28 September 20261. Scope of this policy
This Refund Policy applies where Leak Detector LTD is the seller under a consumer contract for goods. The order-request form on Fieldmark collects information needed to discuss or progress an order request. Submitting that form does not itself take card payment and does not by itself create a completed purchase where further confirmation is required.
If you follow a product link from Fieldmark and complete a purchase on a third-party seller's website, the seller identified at that checkout is responsible for its own payment, cancellation, return and refund process. This policy does not replace the terms of another seller.
2. Cancelling a qualifying distance purchase
If you are a consumer and you buy qualifying goods from Leak Detector LTD at a distance, you generally have 14 days after the day the goods are delivered to tell us that you wish to cancel without giving a reason. Statutory exceptions can apply in circumstances defined by law.
To exercise the cancellation right, make a clear statement identifying the purchase and confirming that you wish to cancel. The statement must be made within the applicable cancellation period. You may use the model cancellation wording in our Terms & Conditions, but you do not have to use that exact wording.
3. Returning goods after cancellation
After telling us that you are cancelling a qualifying distance purchase, you should return the goods within 14 days. Goods should be kept safe while they are in your possession and packaged appropriately for return.
You may examine the goods in the way you reasonably could in a shop. If handling goes beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods, any reduction in value may be reflected in the refund where the law permits.
4. Refund timing and payment method
Where a refund is due following a valid cancellation, it will be made within the time required by applicable consumer law. For returned goods, the statutory timing can depend on when the goods are received back or when evidence is provided that they have been sent back.
The refund will normally be made using the same means of payment used for the original transaction unless a different method is expressly agreed and does not create an additional charge for you.
5. Delivery charges and return costs
Where the law requires it, a qualifying cancellation refund includes the cost of the standard delivery method offered for the purchase. If you selected a more expensive delivery method, the additional amount above the standard delivery cost does not have to be refunded.
Responsibility for the direct cost of returning goods depends on the information given before the contract and on the reason for the return. Where goods are faulty, damaged or not as described, statutory rights may require treatment different from a simple change-of-mind return.
6. Faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods
Your statutory rights are separate from the 14-day distance-cancellation right. Goods supplied to consumers must meet the standards required by UK consumer law, including being of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose where applicable and as described.
Where qualifying goods are faulty, consumers can have a short-term right to reject them and obtain a full refund within the statutory period. After that period, rights can include repair or replacement and, in qualifying circumstances, a later price reduction or refund. Nothing in this policy removes or reduces those statutory rights.
7. Product condition and inspection
A returned detector should include the goods supplied as part of the purchase so that the return can be assessed properly. Normal inspection is different from prolonged field use. Evidence of use beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the product can affect the amount refundable where legislation allows a deduction for diminished value.
If you are returning a product because you believe it is faulty, describe the issue when contacting us. This helps distinguish a statutory fault claim from a change-of-mind cancellation and allows the appropriate remedy to be considered.
8. Manufacturer warranty
The manufacturer warranty associated with the featured VANQUISH 340 is separate from your legal rights against the seller. A warranty may provide an additional route for certain faults, but it does not replace rights that apply under consumer law.
9. Purchases completed with an external seller
Fieldmark includes a link to the product page supplied for the featured detector. If you complete a purchase through that external seller, contact that seller about cancellation, return or refund arrangements. Leak Detector LTD does not process refunds for transactions completed with another seller.
10. Contact about a return or refund
When contacting us about a purchase from Leak Detector LTD, include enough information to identify the order and explain whether you are cancelling, reporting a fault or asking about a return already in progress.

11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy when our sales process, applicable law or the information we are required to provide changes. The date shown at the top identifies the current version. Rights that already apply to a completed consumer contract are not removed merely because this page is updated later.
